Couple sentenced to 130 years in prison each for worst case of child neglect of their twins

An Oklahoma couple, Aislyn Miller, 24 and Kevin Fowler, 25, whose 9 month old twin baby girls were starved and left in filth, was sentenced on Monday to 130 years in prison each for what authorities said was the worst cause of child neglect they had ever seen.  The couple was both convicted of five counts of child neglect last month after their daughters were found weighing about eight pounds each during an urgent care visit last December, officials said. The little girls were hospitalized while their parents were arrested.  When investigators with the Oklahoma Department of Human Services visited the home, they found heinous living conditions at the family’s Collinsville home, where cat feces was smeared on the walls and maggots were in the girls’ playpen. A maggot was also found in a wound on one of the twin girls. Both girls reportedly looked like skeletons, suffered from bed sores and severe diaper rash and one had an infected hand as a result of hair

Former U.S. international goalkeeper and World Cup winner, Hope Solo, 36, has accused ex-FIFA president Sepp Blatter, 81, of sexual assault. In an interview with the Portuguese outlet published on Saturday, Solo claimed Blatter "grabbed my ass" at FIFA’s Ballon d’Or awards ceremony in January 2013, where she presented the FIFA Women’s World Player of the Year award on stage alongside Blatter. Solo said that after the assault, she had to compose herself to make a speech before she handed the award to her U.S. teammate Abby Wambach. She told The Guardian: “I was in shock and completely thrown off. “I had to quickly pull myself together to present my teammate with the biggest award of her career and celebrate with her in that moment, so I completely shifted my focus to Abby.” However, Blatter has denied the allegation, saying: “This allegation is ridiculous." Over the past month, celebrities have been speaking out about sexual harassment

A heartbroken mother painfully recalls the last conversation she had with her daughter moments before she died in the Grenfell fire on June 14, 2017. 26-year-old Gloria Trevisan lived on the 23rd floor of Grenfell Tower, north Kensington, with her fiance Marco Gottardi.  They moved to London three months before the fire to look for work. As fire engulfed the building on that fateful day in June and she saw there was no means of escape, Gloria and Marco, both architecture graduates, called their families to say their goodbyes. Gloria used her last breaths to tell her mum how much she loved her. As smoke filled her apartment, the architecture graduate tragically apologized to her mum, distraught they will not be able to embrace ever again. Ms Trevisan said, according to La Repubblica: "I am so sorry I can never hug you again. I had my whole life ahead of me. It's not fair. I don't want to die. I wanted to help you, to thank you for all you
