2,000 Zambian villagers to sue UK mining company in London

At leaset 2,000 Zambian villagers have been given the go ahead to sue mining giant Vedanta in a UK court.

The villagers who live in Nchanga in the country's Copperbelt province are suing for injury and damages to their property for what they say is numerous and ongoing toxic discharges around where they live.

Vedanta Resources has an asset base of almost $40bn (£30bn) spread across the world and Its Zambian subsidiary Konkola Copper Mines (KCM) had appealed against a ruling in May 2016 when a High Court judge decided the claim could proceed.

KCM which employs 16,000 people in Zambia had wanted the claims to be heard in the country. Reuters however reports that the judgment will play a significant role in defining the future liability of multinational companies based in the UK for alleged human rights and environmental abuses outside the country.

13yr old gang leader and his crew murdered for making threats towards an older gang (graphic video and photo)

A young boy and his fellow gang members were murdered in a gruesome manner after they recorded a video threatening an older gang in Brazil. In videos shared online, a group of young boys with their faces covered are seen making threats, one after the other. They were later caught by the older gang members who then tortured them then blew their heads out. The bodies of the young boys were then left on the street with their brains scattered all over the floor. The older group went on to share videos of them torturing the 13-year-old leader of the gang before killing him and the rest of his crew. A video of their corpse was also shared. The video of the 13-year-old gang leader being tortured is really pathetic because the boy looks so innocent and still has the face of a child. Here is a video of them making the threats. Billionaire Kidnapper Evans to be Arraigned in court today

Notorious kidnapper, Evans to be arraigned in court tomorrow Notorious billionaire kidnap kingpin, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike aka Evans, will be arraigned at the Ikeja High Court tomorrow. The Zonal Police PPRO, Dolapo Badmus, exclusively revealed this to LIB this evening and also adviced members of the public who have no business at the above-mentioned court to stay away from the premises. The Notorious kidnap kingpin who has been in detention for over two months was arrested on the 10th of June at his Magodo residence in Lagos. Evans, a native of Umudim, in Nnewi, Anambra State, was behind the kidnap attempt on prominent transporter and owner of Young Shall Grow Motors, Chief Vincent Obianodo.
