As has been the tradition, the hierarchy of the Nigerian Army yesterday celebrated this year's yuletide period with troops in the field. This time around, the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General TY Buratai, represented by the Chief of Administration (Army), Major General IM Alkali, Chief of Civil-Military Affairs, Major General NE Angbazo, Theatre Commander, Operation LAFIYA DOLE, Major General RI Nicholas, General Officer Commanding 7 Division and Director Army Public Relations, Brigadier General SK Usman, along with some of the Principal Staff Officers at Headquarters 7 Division and field commanders celebrated the 2017 Christmas with the gallant troops of 26 Task Force Brigade, Operation LAFIYA DOLE.  The celebration took place at the Headquarters complex of 26 Task Force Brigade, Gwoza in Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State. The celebration of the Christmas with the troops apart from boosting troops morale, affords an opportunity to meet and celebrat

Photos: Alleged notorious cultist and former hitman for Eiye cult group killed on Christmas Day in Kwale, Delta State

A young man simply identified as Imadu, said to be a notorious cultist was brutally killed on Christmas Day in Utagbe-Ogbe community, Kwale Town, Delta State. The deceased was an alleged hitman for Eiye Cult Group before he decamped to Baggar Cult Group. According to Austyne Emu, President/Commander, Anticult Volunteer Corps (AVC), Delta State, Imadu was killed by member of his former cult group. The CEO of Miss America and Board Chair resign Under amid email scandal

Less than 48 hours after inappropriate internal emails alleging derogatory coomments against past winners within  the Miss America Organization were revealed, t he head of the organization that stages the Miss America beauty pageant and other leaders with the group resigned on Saturday. CEO  Sam Haskell, president and COO of the organization,  Josh Randle,  Board chair Lynn Weidner (who sent emails that were the source of controversy) and  Board member Tammy Haddad,  all resigned from their positions within the organization. Haskell had been suspended on Friday, one day after a Huffington Post report about the internal emails. In some emails, Haskell wrote demeaning descriptions of previous winners of the Miss America pageant, calling one woman "huge" and "gross" and commenting on her sex life in emails he sent in 2014 and 2015, adding that at only 25 years old, she has lost count of the number of men she has slept with. New York Times published a report Saturday on US President, Donald Trump’s harsh immigration policy. According to the paper, Trump was outraged after being handed a list of how many foreigners had obtained visas to enter the U.S. in 2017. Haiti had sent 15,000 people. They “all have AIDS,” he grumbled, according to one person who attended the meeting and another person who was briefed about it by someone else who was there. Forty thousand had come from Nigeria, Mr. Trump added. Once they had seen the United States, they would never “go back to their huts” in Africa, recalled the two officials, who asked for anonymity to discuss a sensitive conversation in the Oval Office.
