Madonna moves to Portugal to be with her 11-year old son that plays football

Photos: Music legend,  Madonna has moved to Lisbon, Portugal, to be with her 11-year-old adopted  son, David Banda who has just joined the youth academy at Benfica football club .   According to reports, Madonna has been staying in a Lisbon hotel, while a house she bought in a nearby village called Sintra is currently undergoing renovation. Her son, David is 1 of 4 children the she adopted from Malawi back in 2006. He came through trials at the Portuguese club in the spring and is currently living at the club's youth academy at Seixal in Lisbon's suburbs. He will attend Lisbon's French lycee when schools return next month.

Medical doctor returns N2.7m mistakenly paid into his account

Photos:  Oluh Tochukwu, a medical doctor with the Imo State University Teaching Hospital IMSUTH, recently did the right thing by returning N2.7 million that was mistakenly paid into his account. Showing his account balance and a letter he wrote to the bank requesting the money to be removed from his account, Oluh on his Facebook page wrote "In this austere time and with the long holidays knocking, the sum of #2.7M (Two Million Seven Hundred Thousand naira) was MISTAKENLY credited into one of my "not well used" accounts 3days ago. I reported officially and have given the required consent and other stuffs necessary to REVERSE it back to where it came from successfully.  There are still HONEST Nigerians. OLUH BEDE TOCHUKWU IS ONE OF THEM. BARKA D SALLAH to all my Muslim friends and happy holidays to all and sundry".

Donald Trump pledges $1 million of his personal money to Hurricane Harvey Relief White House Press Secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders announced at a press conference that President Donald Trump is pledging $1 million in personal funds to Hurricane Harvey relief efforts. In her words, 'he would like to join in the efforts that a lot of the people we’ve seen across this country do, and he’s pledging $1 million of personal money to the fund'. Sanders also asked the media for suggestions regarding which specific organization Trump should donate to. Already, celebrity figures including Leonardo DiCaprio, Sandra Bullock, Ellen DeGeneres, and Kevin Hart, Chris Brown and a lot more, have contributed hurricane relief efforts to groups such as the Red Cross, Salvation Army, Montrose’s Hurricane Harvey LGBTQ Disaster Relief Fund in Houston, SPCA of Texas, and Austin Pets Alive.

President Buhari speaks on massive flood happening in Benue state Over 100, 000 persons are said to have been displaced by the massive flood currently happening in Makurdi, the Benue state capital. President Buhari in a statement released on his Facebook page, sympathized with the victims, adding that he has ordered officials of the National Emergency Management Agency NEMA, to mobilize its personnel and resources that would aid the affected communities. Rivers court remands nine foreigners, two Nigerians in court for oil theft

The suspects:  Mohammed Ejaz,  Naseer Khan (Pakistani), Oleksandr Nazarenko, Oleksandr kashernvi (Ukrainians), Romeo Annang, Francis Ahorlu, Kwesi Attah( Ghanaians), Victor Mikpayi (Beninois ), Fredrik Fatin Omenu (Indonesian),  Victor Azebiri, David Otuhohi (Nigerians) and a  Company: Asztral Shipping Corporation SA, and a  Vessel, MT. TECNE( a.k.a MT STAR). They were remanded pending arraignment and hearing of a 4-count charge bordering on conspiracy, dealing in petroleum products without a license and tampering with oil pipelines.
